 | Engraved Kings Shilling Pewter Tankard

Dimensions: 1-pint (568ml) plain pewter tankard with square handle and a glass base with a kings shilling in.
Starting in the 18th Century, shilling were slipped in to men's tankards without the drinker knowing and the expression "To take the Kings shilling" was said to have ment that a man agreed to be a solider or sailor. Glass bottom tankards were said to have become popular so that these tricks could be spotted!
We recommend up to six lines with approximately 20 characters per line, don't worry if your a few over- we should be able to make it fit!
